Worldwide renewable energy production is expected to grow by about 2.3% each year through 2040, and SPEC is eager to have an important and growing role in that growth trend. Solar energy is radiant light and heat from the sun that is harnessed using a range of technologies such as solar power to generate electricity, solar thermal energy including solar water heating, and solar architecture.
SPEC is currently developing a 20-megawatt solar energy farm in Hub, Pakistan which is expected to be completed in 2022.
Wind
Wind power or wind energy is the use of wind turbines to generate electricity. Wind power is a popular, sustainable, renewable energy source that has a much smaller impact on the environment than burning fossil fuels.
SPEC’s EPC capabilities are now extending into this new source of renewable energy, starting with its estate facility in Hub, Pakistan.
Hydrogen
SPEC is combining its expertise in delivering grey hydrogen scopes as part of its refinery projects, with a growing track record in delivering complex CO2 removal scopes to support large-scale blue hydrogen opportunities.
